悉尼超级富人区在哪里?
The rich are more likely to live in the eastern suburbs. In 2016 58% of households with incomes over $300,000 a year lived in the outer east and south-east compared to just 46% of households on lower incomes. (注:这里的富人区并不单指有钱的人,而是指高收入群体)
The data is from the Australian Bureau of Statistics’s Household Income and Wealth Report for 2016 (the most recent). 按收入划分的家庭分布地图
The data shows that wealthy families tend to be located outside the Sydney CBD or inner metropolitan area generally. This means they benefit from lower house prices but also lack good school zones, high density public transport networks and access to jobs in the city. It's why you will find so many high-rise apartments in the city building boom of the last 10 years. They have been built as an affordable option for young professionals who can't afford to buy a house in the same postcode as their job.
But now this group has moved out where land costs less and property prices have not yet increased. The outer west may gain in popularity as a place to live if prices continue to fall. However the data suggests it would take time since the majority still lives within the capital's borders – at least until a new airport lands in Western Sydney.
